Sally Rewehooeern decided to leave her hometown in Holland and move to the United States back in 1953. She is now 92 years old and has been living alone ever since her husband passed away 27 years ago. Now that her children are scattered around the country, Sally finds herself experiencing loneliness on a regular basis.
Her neighbors recently experienced a terrible loss of their own when their beloved senior pet Blizzard passed away. Blizzard may have been just a dog to some, but to these neighbors, he was a crucial part of the family and his loss led to a great deal of sadness.
The neighbors decided to fill the void that Blizzard left behind by purchasing a new dog, which they named Brody. He was only 15 weeks old when they brought him home and the friendly Saint Bernard wasted no time making acquaintances in the neighborhood.
The same day that they brought Brody home, the pup decided to wander off. As you may or may not have guessed, Brody wound up at Sally’s house and the two became fast friends as a result. The two have now become a difficult pair to separate and one is rarely seen without the other.
Brody follows Sally as often as possible and he is a notable presence when she is in her yard working on her garden. Not one to be confined to the outdoors, Brody has even been known to hop into Sally’s car with her and thanks to his friendly demeanor, Sally now has a brand new friend to call her own.
